This painting began with a small church I discovered in Kuldīga, Latvia. What captivated me, however, was not the architecture itself, but the possibility of exploring the emotional dialogue between two contrasting colors.

The inspiration came after encountering a contemporary painting built around the tension of red and green. Those colors stayed with me, and I searched for a subject that could carry their visual and emotional intensity. The church became that subject.

Here, architecture is transformed into something beyond a place of worship. It becomes a space where color, symbolism and personal perception intersect. The vivid contrast between red and green creates both harmony and friction, inviting viewers to reflect on their own attitude toward faith, art, memory, or any other meaning they bring to the work.

The title, The Attitude, refers to this openness of interpretation. Every relationship with an image begins with an attitude, and every viewer inevitably brings their own.
