Portraits
Portraiture for me is less about likeness than about presence. I am interested in the moment when a face, a posture or a gesture begins to reveal something that cannot be posed deliberately.
Some portraits grow from direct encounters, others from memory, observation or personal relationships. Across different periods and techniques, I return to the same question: what becomes visible when a person is simply allowed to be seen?
